Eyes to the sky: Lunar Tides

The Dance Seen

Nostos Collectives brings us a new evening of performance this Saturday inspired by “lunar energy” and “tidal water”.

The ladies and gent of Nostos collaborate between each other within Halifax and Toronto. Their style blends contemporary dance with technically rich movement inspired by jazz and street styles. With Jessica Lowe at the helm, their success has seen the group perform multiple shows at the Bus Stop Theatre this year, supported by Arts Nova Scotia.

“(Lunar Tides) is a highly physical and personal show. From alien space dolls to love under the stars this show covers it all.” Says Lowe.

This show fittingly comes just after the Perseid meteor shower passed over the weekend. I added this beautiful video of a meteor shower in case you missed the one that happened last weekend. Inspired by what you saw in the sky? Turn your eyes back to Earth to catch this weekend’s performance choreographed by┬áJessica Lowe, Olivia Aubrecht, Anastasia Weibe, Taylor Shive and Donne D’Arnall.
